On Templates and Things

I wanted to have a more striking look for the Blog so I'm experimenting with third party templates. The one I added today was free so, nothing ventured nothing gained. I obtained it at http://smittenblogdesignsgallery.blogspot.com  . They have a large number there but don't expect to find anything that's masculine at all; lots of girl stuff. Next I'd like to figure out how to design my own. I used to be a crazy good artist in my younger days so if I can find the appropriate software or whatever else is needed I'll give that a shot.

Continuing to learn

I am trying external software to update the blog this time. The application is in Foxfire and it's called Scribefire. The biggest thing in family happenings were that my grandkids got to experience their first kite flying. My 2 year old granddaughter Isabella was amazed at how it felt to hold that line in a stiff breeze and my grandson, Liam, had an amazingly great time flying one for over 30 minutes and keeping it flying by himself and he's only 4!

Item 2 is my daughter's curcakes. They are awesome - as great as her cake pops! The photo below was an incredible taste sensation! Bailey's Irish Cream Cupcake with Espresso Mascarpone (sp?) Icing drizzled with butterscotch and lightly dusted with espresso powder. WOW is all I can say!

The whole family and our friends are looking forward to seeing what delectable things she comes up with next!

Launch

This is starting as a labor love. I am trying to figure out how blogs work so that I can both teach my brilliant daughter - who is way too busy with a difficult and demanding career to slog through it herself - and to use it as a place to put info that might interest friends and family. So, for this inaugural launch I'm typing this and posting a photo of my grandson, my daughter's son, as he's playing at being a musician like mommy and daddy.

Some day when he's a world famous musician this will be a much loved and endearing photograph. If it's not we can threaten him with embarrassment. So that we don't leave out my adorable and very funny (she takes after her mom in that department) granddaughter, here's her latest fashion statement.

She chose this ensemble herself very carefully. Perhaps if she doesn't become a musician or work in the medical field like mommy and daddy she might be a future Coco Chanel!

Now I'm off to figure out other things bloggish ...
